Russian attacks in Ukraine will be less: Russia starts withdrawing its army from Kyiv, know what are the 5 reasons for this

Russia has announced the withdrawal of its army in peace talks with Ukraine. After this, troops have been started withdrawing from Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. It also included the Russian Battalion Tactical Group (BTG), which was retreating from areas around the Ukrainian capital. Indeed, Russian forces are now retreating in some areas of the north to advance to the south and east.

no agreement on ceasefire

This step has been taken by Russia when peace talks between Russian and Ukrainian delegations were held in Istanbul, Turkey on Tuesday. After the talks, a Ukrainian delegation official said that there could be a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in the coming days.

Russian presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky said on Tuesday that the withdrawal of Russian troops from around Kyiv and Chernihiv was not a ceasefire, according to reports. Russia has described the talks in Turkey as positive. It has also asked the troops to reduce attacks on Kyiv and Chernihiv. One reason for this could be Ukraine's neutral status. Ukraine's President Zelensky said he would remain neutral, meaning Ukraine would not join military alliances but would be guaranteed security in return.

1. Try to create an environment of positive conversation

Russia has said that it is reducing its forces from around the capital Kyiv to create a positive atmosphere for talks between the two countries. The move comes in response to a demand by the Ukrainian delegation to guarantee the security of the capital during peace talks in Istanbul.

2. Irpin became free from Russian occupation

The second reason could be - the Ukrainian troops giving a befitting reply to the Russian soldiers. The Ukrainian army liberated Irpin, located near Kyiv, from Russian occupation. Irpin Mayor Oleksandr Markushin said Irpin had been freed. We understand that there will be more attacks on our city now and we will face them with courage. Not only this, a special unit of the Ukraine Forces destroyed a 64 km long convoy of the Russian army going towards Kyiv.

3. Russia is regrouping the army

The third reason could be - Russia has to take two steps back to move forward. In the eyes of Western countries, this move of Russia is being seen as a step taken to regroup the army for a short time. More than a month has passed since the war started. The Russian army is continuously destroying many cities in Ukraine, but Ukraine is not ready to bow down.

Brigadier General Kirillo Budanov, head of Ukraine's defense intelligence agency, said Russia's military operations around Kyiv had failed. In such a situation, the Russian army now knows that it is impossible to overthrow the Ukrainian government. This is the reason why Putin's army is focusing on the east and south of Ukraine. Many Russian Major Generals have been killed in the war.

4. Putin's eyes on the Donbass

The first phase of his special military operation in Ukraine is over. Russian troops will now focus on the independence of the eastern Donbass region, where Russian-backed separatists have been fighting for eight years. Sergei Rudskoi, Senior Representative of the General Staff of the Russian Army, said that the combat capability of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has decreased significantly. Because of this, we can focus on our main goal, the independence of the Donbass. Russia has recognized the Donetsk and Luhansk regions of the Donbass as independent countries at the beginning of the war.

5. Russia wants to divide Ukraine into two parts

Ukraine's Intelligence Chief Kirillo Budanev has said that Russia's Putin government wants to divide Ukraine into two parts. In an interview Budanev said – Putin aims to capture Kyiv and divide the country into two parts. Just like North and South Korea separated.
