Could Salman Khan's next step be towards politics? This time there was a lot of discussion on this in all the Eid Milan functions of Mumbai. On the other hand, director AR Murugadoss's film 'Sikander' which flopped at the box office on the fourth day of its release has also given strength to the discussions about this new step of Salman. There are full chances of the film 'Sikander' being a flop and it is possible that now the next film with Salman Khan may not be announced soon.
This is the first time Salman when his film is being removed from the theatres from the third-fourth day of its release and shows of other films are being held in its place. 'Diplomat' and 'L2 Empuran' are being shown in many theatres in Mumbai, replacing 'Sikander'. Producer Sajid Nadiadwala's film 'Sikander', made at a cost of about Rs 200 crore, earned only Rs 74.50 crore in the first three days of its release. On the fourth day of its release, the film's collection fell by about 50 percent, and by 10 pm on Wednesday, the film had earned only Rs 9.75 crore.
Salman Khan's film 'Tiger 3', released on Diwali two years ago, could not earn as much as its budget at the domestic box office. As a result, Salman Khan's under-production film 'Tiger vs Pathan' with Shahrukh Khan, proposed in Yash Raj Films' spy universe, was postponed indefinitely. At the moment, no one is talking about what is going to happen to Salman Khan's character Tiger in Yash Raj Films' spy universe. But sources say that Salman does not have a cameo in both the under-production films of this spy universe, 'War 2' and 'Alpha'.
According to experts, the main reason for Salman Khan's films not doing well is attributed to Salman Khan's poor acting in these films as well as the presence of his duplicate in many scenes of the film. It is no longer a secret in the Mumbai film industry that for the past few years, Salman Khan's films have been shot with his duplicate in his place. Salman is seen in these films only where it is necessary to show his face. Special appearances in some films were shot by his duplicate, even though Salman Khan's name was mentioned in the film. One such film is said to be Anand L Rai's 'Zero'.
Meanwhile, the new buzz in the Mumbai film industry is that Salman Khan has talked to some political leaders in recent times and they are trying to find Salman's place in politics. Although Salman Khan has not said anything about this yet, people are making speculations about dialogue from the film 'Sikander', "I don't know about PM or CM, but I have so much popularity that I can become an MP or MLA!" Salman Khan has also been under pressure from his close ones to take forward the politics of Sunil Dutt and Baba Siddiqui in Bandra. In the past, he has gone to Unnao in Uttar Pradesh to campaign for Congress candidate Annu Tandon.
