Sculptor Jaideep Apte was arrested on Wednesday night in connection with the collapse of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's statue at Rajkot Fort in the Sindhudurg district of Maharashtra. According to the report of the English newspaper Times of India, Jaideep Apte was arrested outside his house. He had reached home to meet his family. Apte had informed his wife that he was coming back home. After this, the wife gave this information to the police. Apte's family wanted him to cooperate in the police investigation.
