The baby girl was born in a rural hospital in the state of Nuevo Leon in northeastern Mexico. The mother's delivery was not done in a normal way, but through a cesarean. The age of a girl's parents is between 20 and 30 years and both are completely healthy. During pregnancy, the mother was not exposed to any kind of radiation or infection. The parents already have a son, who is leading a normal life.

After a thorough examination, the doctors found that the tail was also completely healthy. After this, it was decided to do surgery on the girl.
