A rare case of medical science has come to light in Mexico. Here a baby girl was born with a 2.2-inch long tail. Later its length was increased by 0.8 cm. Doctors were also stunned to see this because so far only 40 such cases have been found in the world.

This tail has now been removed by the doctors. It has been more than two months since the girl was discharged from the hospital. He is completely healthy.

According to this case report published in the Journal of Pediatric Surgery, the length of the baby's tail was 5.7 cm. Its diameter was between 3 and 5 mm. The tail at birth was lightly-haired and had a rounded tip. Doctors monitored the baby girl for the next two months after she was born. During this, he found that the newborn was growing up like normal children. Weight was also normal. There were no problems in the mind or heart.

No infection during delivery, mother-daughter healthy

The baby girl was born in a rural hospital in the state of Nuevo Leon in northeastern Mexico. The mother's delivery was not done in a normal way, but through a cesarean. The age of a girl's parents is between 20 and 30 years and both are completely healthy. During pregnancy, the mother was not exposed to any kind of radiation or infection. The parents already have a son, who is leading a normal life.

According to the doctors, the tail was soft because there was no bone in it. He could be moved without any pain. After a thorough examination, the doctors found that the tail was also completely healthy. After this, it was decided to do surgery on the girl. In the operation, the tail was removed from the body by Limburg plasty.

Even before this, many children have been born with a tail. So far two types of the tail have been found in humans. First- Vestigial Tale and second True Tale. The vestigial tail is called such a tail, which shows the development of mankind. It has a bone inside the tail. So far 195 cases have been reported in studies conducted in America, England, France, Japan, Italy, and Germany.

On the other hand, such a tail is called a true tail, which does not have a bone. It consists only of tissue and fat. This tail is rare. So far only 40 cases have been reported worldwide. Earlier in the year 2021, a child was born in Brazil with such a tail.
