Team India's stunning victory: Beating West Indies by 68 runs in the first T20, Karthik, who scored 41 runs in 19 balls, became the man of the match

Team India won the first T20 match against West Indies by 68 runs. Chasing the target of 191 runs, the West Indies team could score only 122 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 8 wickets. With this win, the Indian team has taken a 1-0 lead in the series.

 

None of the West Indies batsmen played

 

Shamar Brooks scored the highest 20 runs for West Indies in the first T20. All the bowlers bowled brilliantly for Team India. Arshdeep Singh, Ashwin, and Ravi Bishnoi took 2 wickets each. At the same time, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Ravindra Jadeja got 1-1 wickets. Dinesh Karthik, who played a blistering inning of 41 runs in 19 balls, was adjudged the player of the match. Captain Rohit Sharma scored the most runs for India. He played an innings of 64 runs. This was the 27th half-century of his T20 International career.

 

Team India's top order was a flop

 

Suryakumar Yadav, who came to open the batting for the first time in T20 International matches, scored 24 runs in 16 balls. During this, he hit 3 fours and 1 six. Yadav became a victim of Aqeel Hossein. At the same time, Shreyas Iyer was a complete flop in the match. His account didn't even open. Iyer was followed by Obed McCoy.

 

Rishabh Pant, who came to bat at No. 4, faced 12 balls and was dismissed after scoring 14 runs. Keemo Paul took his wicket. Hardik Pandya, who was in excellent form, also could not do much and was dismissed after scoring just 1 run.

 

There were two big changes in Team India

 

In the first T20 match, the Indian team made two major changes. R Ashwin became a part of the playing XI for the first time after the 2021 T20 World Cup. At the same time, Ishan Kishan was not a part of the team in yesterday's match. In his place, Suryakumar Yadav came to bat for the first time in the T20 International match.
