Along with the world, an increase in new cases of the corona is being recorded in India as well. According to the Health Department, 501 cases of the corona were registered in Delhi on Monday. With this, the positivity rate in the capital has gone up to 7.72%. Earlier on Sunday, 517 new cases were reported, on the second day, more than 500 cases were registered. At the same time, in the last 24 hours, a total of 1144 new cases were registered across India.
Apart from Delhi, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh are also seeing an increase in corona cases. In UP's Noida (Gautam Budh Nagar), 107 new cases of Covid-19 were reported on Tuesday, of which 33 are school students. On Monday, 19 school students were found positive here. There are currently 411 active cases in the district. 234 new cases were registered in Haryana and 115 in UP.
Within the last 24 hours, 15 new cases of corona have been reported in Ghaziabad. After which the number of active cases here has increased to 135.
IIT professor claims; Less danger from the fourth wave
At the same time, another professor at IIT Kanpur, Rajesh Ranjan has also claimed by quoting the SIR model that the fourth wave coming to India will be less lethal than the second and third waves.
Here, Kanpur IIT professor Manindra Agarwal, who accurately predicted the corona, has claimed that the chances of the fourth wave of corona coming are low. Aggarwal said in an interview that the possibility of a fourth wave of corona coming is low, as no new mutants have emerged so far. He said that now the immunity power has become up to 90% in people, but if carelessness is taken then these mutants can show their effect again.
Corona cases started increasing again after 11 weeks
After declining for 11 consecutive weeks in India, corona cases increased by 35% in the middle of last week. Between April 11 and 17, 6,610 cases of the corona were registered, compared to 4,900 cases a week earlier.
Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya had said a few days ago that the threat of corona is not over yet. People should take precautions to stay safe. Earlier, the Ministry of Health had issued a warning for five states amid rising cases of Covid in China and America.
Cases are increasing in many countries including China-South Korea
At present, cases of corona are increasing rapidly in South Korea, Germany, France, Vietnam, Italy, China, and America. Omicron's sub-variant BA.2 and XE variant, being called 'Stealth Omicron', are believed to be responsible for this latest wave of the corona.
