There has been an uproar over the objectionable remarks made by DMK leader and Tamil Nadu minister Udhayanidhi Stalin regarding Sanatana Dharma. Udhayanidhi Stalin has made objectionable remarks regarding Sanatan Dharma. Comparing Sanatan Dharma with dengue, malaria, and corona, he said that it should be ended. Udhayanidhi had commented on Sanatan Dharma at a program organized in Chennai on Saturday. However, he later clarified by sharing a post on the social media platform 'X'.

He had said, "I did not appeal for the genocide of those who follow Sanatan Dharma. Sanatan Dharma is a principle that divides people in the name of caste and religion. Rooting out Sanatan Dharma upholds humanity and equality. Yes. I stand firmly by every word I have said."
