Mumbai city of Maharashtra remains Corona's hotspot. The number of corona patients is increasing continuously here. The health system is beginning to collapse. There is a shortage of medicines, oxygen, beds. The state government and BMC have decided to convert five-star hotels into Covid centers because of the deteriorating situation of Corona in the country's financial capital Mumbai. BMC said that two five-star hotels in the city have been prepared for Corona patients. However, these hotels will not house serious Corona patients. Only patients with the mild infection will stay here.

42 beds will have private hospital

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said that the Maharashtra government has converted the five-star hotels into the Covid Center. These hotels have been approved to be used as private hospitals. A total of 42 beds are placed in both hotels for Corona patients. A 22-bed Covid Hospital has been set up at the Intercontinental Hotel at Marine Drive and a 20-bed at the Trident Hotel at Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC). Treatment will begin in these private hospitals from Thursday. BMC chief Iqbal Singh Chahal told the media that due to corona in Mumbai, there is some problem regarding beds in hospitals. In such a situation, the state government has decided to shift four-star and five-star hotels to Corona patients by evacuating them. Corona patients will be properly treated in these hotels.

98 percent of ICU beds full
