UP: State schools will not be able to increase fees in academic session 2021-22, an order issued

Posted on 20th May 2021 05:08 pm by rohit kumar

Because of the circumstances arising out of the Corona epidemic, the Uttar Pradesh government has imposed a moratorium on fee hikes for all the schools of all boards operating in the state for the academic session 2021-22. Giving this information, Deputy Chief Minister and Secondary Education Minister Dr. Dinesh Sharma said that many families have been financially affected due to Covid.

Schools are physically closed, but online reading is in progress. Because of all these circumstances, the government has taken such a balanced decision so that the general public does not have to bear any additional burden, as well as to ensure regular payment to the teachers and non-teaching staff working in the school.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that the schools will be able to collect the fee in the academic session 2021-22 as per the same fee structure as was done in the previous year, which was implemented in the year 2019-20. If a school has charged fees according to the increased fee structure, this increased fee will be adjusted in the fees for the following months.

He has said that no transportation fee will be charged during the period of school closure. Apart from this, if any student or guardian is facing any problem in depositing an advance fee of three months, then on their request, a monthly fee should be charged from them. In this situation, they will not be compelled to pay three months advance fee.
