In such a situation, Bob Mendez, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, called a meeting on February 28 to finalize Eric Garcetti's nomination to Congress. Now, this meeting has been postponed and the committee will vote on March 8. Only then will Eric Garcetti's name be final. The White House is supporting Eric Garcetti despite the allegations.
