After the team's defeat in the match, he reached the dressing room. There he met the entire team including captain Rohit Sharma, experienced batsman Virat Kohli, and coach Rahul Dravid, and patted them on the back. During this time Home Minister Amit Shah was also present there. The Prime Minister told all the players that they performed brilliantly in the entire tournament. Lost in the final, but it happens.

 

Holding the hands of Rohit and Kohli, the Prime Minister said, "You guys have come back after winning the entire 10-10 match." This keeps happening. The country is watching you guys. I thought of meeting everyone.'' After this, he talked to coach Rahul Dravid and patted him on the back. The Prime Minister told him, "You have worked hard." The PM then spoke to Ravindra Jadeja in Gujarati.

PM Modi shook hands with Shubman Gill after meeting Jadeja. After this, he went to Mohammed Shami and hugged him. The PM told him, "You did very well this time." Then he went to Jasprit Bumrah and asked him whether he speaks Gujarati, to which Bumrah said - a little.
