According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain in parts of West Bengal, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Vidarbha, Konkan, Madhya Maharashtra, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttarakhand, Karnataka on Monday.
According to the IMD, so far 31 percent of the country has received above normal rainfall, 36 percent of normal, and 33 percent of below normal rainfall. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for the next 4 days because of heavy rains in many areas of Uttarakhand. The Monsoon Trough is now passing through Naliya, Ahmedabad, Akola, and Ramagundam, the center of depression over South Odisha, and then moving east-southeastwards across East Central Bay of Bengal.
