Like previous years, this year also Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated the festival of Diwali among army soldiers.

This time Modi was Jaisalmer of Rajasthan. At Jaisalmer's Longewala post, Modi celebrated Diwali with army personnel. The Prime Minister congratulated the soldiers on Diwali. During this, he also warned while referring to Pakistan.

PM Modi was also accompanied by Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) Bipin Rawat, Army Chief MM Narwane, and BSF DG Rakesh Asthana.

Addressing the soldiers at the Longewala post of Jaisalmer, PM Modi said that no power in the world can stop our brave soldiers from protecting the border of the country.

Modi also rode the tank during this time. He was wearing an army dress. These pictures of him were shared on social media. In these photos, pictures of Modi wearing a military dress made a lot of headlines on social media. However, a debate arose on social media platforms regarding these pictures as to whether a civilian leader or citizen has the right to wear an army uniform in a democracy? It also raised the question that how appropriate is it for the civilian leadership in democracy to wear army uniforms?

From people who have retired from the military forces, common people have expressed their views on this issue. Lt Gen HS Panag (Retd) wrote in a tweet tweeting, "Salute! Our PM leading from the front."

A Twitter user Kaustubh (@___kaustubh) commented on it, writing, "Everything is a fancy dress event for them. They don't realize how hard it takes to get a uniform. They just make their devotees happy To satisfy her childhood desires of doing and modeling in different costumes. "

Ledge Prakash Katoch (R) wrote on Twitter, "Where are we going to attack - Depsang?"

Panag has written to him in response, "Sir, I am sure he must have gone there too. Confidential!"

Brigadier Jay Kaul writes, "What law permits the wearing of uniforms of armed forces or paramilitary forces? Someone should tell them that this is not fair."

Another user Prashant Tandon asks if elected leaders in democracy should wear army uniforms?

He writes, "It is okay to wear symbolic caps or jackets to show our attachment to the soldiers, but the whole uniform? Uniform marks and taunts are never made by the PM, the Minister of Defense, or even the Commander in Chief of the Presidents." Are not designed for. "

He writes sarcastically, "Longewala's distance from Leh is 1,500 km."

A user has written that while supporting Modi's army uniform, Subhash Chandra Bose was also not in the army. However, they wore uniforms. The soldiers offer it. The same happened with Varun Dhawan, the SSR who went to the soldiers for promotion. What is important is that they have boosted the morale of the soldiers.
