
Once again, Chinese civilians have been attacked in Pakistan. According to Pakistani media reports, four people, including Chinese nationals, were killed in an explosion near a van near the Confucius Institute at Karachi University of Sindh. The injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital.
According to reports, the Chinese nationals targeted were Chinese language teachers and were guarded by Rangers personnel. These rangers were on motorcycles escorting the vans while protecting Chinese teachers. Officials have not yet commented on the blast, although Sindh CM Murad Ali Shah has taken cognizance of the incident.

On this day the Chinese Consulate General, Karachi was attacked. 4 people were killed in this attack. In this, 2 police personnel and 2 Pakistani nationals were killed. All three attackers were killed in the operation that lasted for hours. Not a single Chinese civilian was injured or killed in this attack.
After the incident, the Chinese Foreign Ministry had said that China strongly condemns any violent attack against diplomatic agencies. China had said that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project would go ahead despite the attack. At the time, Zhao Lijian, deputy chief of mission at the Chinese embassy in Pakistan, praised the Pakistani military and police for "timely and appropriate action" in response to the attack.

On this day a suicide bomber attacked Chinese personnel at the Gwadar East Bay Expressway project in Balochistan. A Chinese civilian was injured and two local children were killed in the attack.
After the attack, China had said that it was demanded from Pakistan to provide proper treatment to the injured, conduct a thorough investigation into the attack and give strict punishment to the perpetrators. Along with this, China said that recently the security situation in Pakistan has been serious. The Chinese embassy in Pakistan had appealed to Chinese citizens to be alert.
