
IndiGo airline on Thursday said that the fares for flights to Prayagraj have stabilized and it has increased the number of flights on this route to 900 for the Maha Kumbh. There were constant complaints about the increase in fares on flights to Prayagraj due to increasing demand from passengers.
IndiGo also ensured that the fares were stable.
The government has asked airline companies to keep ticket prices stable as well as operate more flights on this route. IndiGo said that the airline has also ensured to keep the fares stable and is committed to providing the best travel experience to all its customers.
On Wednesday, sources said that IndiGo has reduced the fares of flights to Prayagraj by 30-50 percent. According to the airline, it has significantly increased the number of flights and seat capacity from Prayagraj airport during the Maha Kumbh.
IndiGo will connect Prayagraj to 10 places in India
The company said in a statement that during this period, IndiGo will connect Prayagraj to 10 places in India. These will include flights from Ahmedabad, Kolkata, and Jaipur in addition to the existing connectivity from Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Raipur and Bhubaneswar.
The airline also increased the number of flights to the city.
At the same time, Akasa Air has also reduced the fare of flights to Prayagraj by 30-45 percent. Along with this, the airline has also increased the number of flights to the city.
Akasa Air said that it has started special flights to Prayagraj from Pune, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, and Bengaluru. This is in addition to the daily direct flight service from Mumbai and Delhi.

Given the stampede at Mahakumbh, new plans will now be implemented for the safety of the devotees in the fair area. Additional security forces will be deployed by marking the areas where the pressure of the crowd increases.

Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh and Director General of Police Prashant Kumar, who arrived here on Thursday on the instructions of the Chief Minister, inspected the site of the incident.
