Zawahiri was in Kabul for a year
According to the New York Times, this drone strike was done by the special team of the US intelligence agency CIA. Zawahiri had been living in Kabul since the Taliban government came to power in Afghanistan in August 2021. At the same time, the Taliban has been furious over the American action and has called it a violation of the Doha Agreement. The world is silent on Zawahiri's death.
