Tirupati. About 80 days later, the devotees made Dhanavarsha as soon as the Tirupati Balaji temple opened. The temple staff itself donated more than 65 lakh rupees in the first three days. At the same time, on 11 June, the temple opened for the first time to the common people. About seven thousand people donated 43 lakh rupees to Balaji. In the first 4 days of the opening of the temple, the figure of donations has reached about 125 million.

The Tirupati temple, which has been closed since 20 March, was opened on 8 June. There was no entry of outside devotees on 8, 9 and 10 June. Only temple employees and their families were allowed to visit. This darshan for the temple was similar to the rehearsal before starting, but in these three days, donations of more than 65 lakh rupees came to the temple.

On June 8, the temple received more than 25 lakh donations. Something similar happened on the second day as well and on June 10, the temple employees donated more than 20 lakhs. According to T. Ravi, the PRO of the temple, this donation has been made by our employees. This is his faith in Balaji. The trust is not counting it in rupees. On June 11, 42 lakh 88 thousand rupees have been received in the Hundi Collection.

21 thousand employees in the trust

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Trust has about 21 thousand employees. Of these, 8 thousand 500 employees are on permanent appointment. About 13,000 employees are contract-based and outsourced. Keeping in view the cleanliness and safety in the temple, such a large staff has been kept. There are more than 1500 employees for cleaning here. There is more security in this system.

500 crore donation loss

The temple suffered a loss of about 500 crores in 80 days of lockdown. The temple earns around 220 crore rupees every month on normal days. A large part of this comes from the hundi collection of around Rs 170 crore. The temple had a hundi collection of around Rs 1100 crore in 2019, but had to be closed due to the lockdown before the start of this financial year.

Apart from local people also came from outside states

On Thursday, 6 thousand 998 devotees visited Lord Balaji in Tirupati. Of these 141 were from Telangana and 151 from Karnataka. Devotees also came from Maharashtra, New Delhi, Arunachal Pradesh, Punducherry, and West Bengal. A large number of people had gathered outside the temple for free tickets.
