Meditation classes were started for UK school children facing depression. This is called mindfulness training. In this, special classes were kept for the children to keep their minds focused. But when the government in Britain researched to check the results of mindfulness training, surprising results were revealed.

8 out of 10 kids got bored

According to research by My Resilience in Adolescence (Myriad), 8 out of 10 UK teens expressed boredom with these classes. He said that he is not interested in it and he does not even go home and train for it. The research involved more than 28,000 students and 650 teachers from more than 100 schools in the UK.

Teachers benefited from the class

The research revealed that the training started mainly for the children has benefited the teachers rather than the children. Teachers do this training continuously at home and school, due to which their mental health became better than before. He has also gotten rid of the problem of burnout by doing this training.

Dr. Dan O'Hare of the British Psychological Society says that the model of mindfulness training needs to be changed according to the results revealed in the research. So that students can also benefit from it. Dr. Hare says that without improvement, the benefit of these classes will not be available.

A quarter of the UK population suffers from depression

According to research, about a quarter of the UK population is a victim of depression. A special budget for mental health is also issued under the National Health Scheme for the UK population of about 70 million. Despite this, the problem of depression remains the same.
