There has been a rapid increase in the cases of coronavirus across the world. In the week ending on Sunday, 11 percent more new cases have been found than the previous week. The World Health Organization said that from 20 to 26 December, 49 lakh new corona cases have been found worldwide. Most of the cases have been found in countries like America, Britain, and France. The WHO said that since October, there has been an increase in new cases around the world. Half of the new cases found worldwide in the last one week have been found in the countries of Europe alone. 2.84 million cases have been found. The situation in France and Britain is continuously deteriorating. On one hand, 1.29 lakh cases were found in the UK on Tuesday, while in France about 1.80 lakh new cases have been found.

Apart from this, there has been an increase of 7 percent in new cases in Africa. In African countries, 275,000 new cases have been found in the last week, indicating that the cases of Omicron are increasing more than the delta variant in many countries. The World Health Organization has said about Omicron that it is a matter of deep concern. Meanwhile, 2,000 new cases have also been found in the United Nations. For the first time in the last 6 months, this has happened, when the cases have crossed 2,000. In India too, the crisis seems to be increasing continuously. Omicron's cases have reached beyond 800, increasing rapidly. On Wednesday, 23 new cases of the Omicron variant have been found together in Rajasthan.

The peak of the third wave may come in India in February

Not only this, more than 9,000 total cases of corona have also been reported on Wednesday. Due to this, the number of active cases has crossed 77 thousand. Experts say that this could be a sign of the third wave in India, whose peak can be seen in February. Because of the increase in new cases, many restrictions have been imposed from Delhi to Maharashtra and Goa. The Delhi government has closed many things including schools, colleges, gyms. At the same time, only 50 percent of the total capacity in buses and metro will be able to travel.

There is also the risk of recession due to an increase in corona in the festive season

The increase in corona cases around the world on the occasion of Christmas and New Year has also created a crisis in front of the world economy. Barely recovering economies may once again go into recession. However, many countries including Britain, France have refused to impose strict restrictions at the moment.
