All the medical college hospitals in the state have also been asked to set up oxygen plants and they have been permitted to increase the number of beds according to their own. The Chief Minister has appealed to the people to offer Namaz in small groups (less than 50 people) on the occasion of Eid.

The Chief Minister said that his government has demanded three crore vaccines for Bengal from the Center, out of which one crore will be given to private hospitals. "Several steps are being taken to break the chain of virus infection like suspension of local train services," he said.
