
Late on Tuesday night, terrorists targeted a joint check post of the army and police at Chhatragalan Top in Jammu division. The terrorists fired bullets indiscriminately. The encounter started due to the retaliatory action of the security forces. Five army personnel and one SPO (Special Police Officer) were injured in this attack. The injured have been taken to the hospital for treatment. This area of Chhatragalan Top is located on the border of district Kathua and tehsil Bhaderwah of district Doda.
Regarding the terrorist attack in Doda, ADGP Jammu Anand Jain said that the terrorists have been surrounded. The entire area is cordoned off. The operation is going on.
Third terrorist attack in three days in Jammu division
On Sunday, terrorists attacked a bus returning from Shivkhori Dham in the Reasi district of Jammu division, in which nine people were killed and 41 people were injured. After this, a terrorist incident took place in Saida Sohal village of Hiragar tehsil of Kathua on Tuesday. A civilian was injured in this attack. Meanwhile, a CRPF jawan was injured in the operation against the terrorists which continued till late night. He died during treatment. Meanwhile, terrorists attacked a check post in Chhatragalan Top in Doda.
So far 27 people have been reported dead in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.
