Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde displayed sensitivity and empathy during his stay in his home district Thane. While controlling the crowd that gathered during their meeting, he immediately sent the injured woman policeman for treatment at the private hospital.
The duty of the injured woman policeman was engaged in Thane's collector's office yesterday. Shinde had held a special meeting here on Wednesday. After the meeting, they were leaving there, when this policeman was injured in the crowd. As soon as Shinde caught sight of him, they sent him to a private hospital in Thane for treatment.

In a special meeting held at Thane Collector's office, CM Shinde reviewed the preparations for the Ashadhi Ekadashi fair at Pandharpur. Devotees from all over the country reach here to have darshan of Lord Vitthal. Ashadhi Ekadashi is on 10th July. The devotees who come here are called Varkaris. In the meeting, CM Shinde directed not to collect toll tax for the vehicles of the devotees going to Pandharpur. He directed the Chief Secretary to get stickers installed on the vehicles of Warkaris and get them registered with the local police.
