Gujarat Election 2022: 'There is still time...' Jadeja shared Bal Thackeray's old video

Posted on 1st Dec 2022 09:58 am by rohit kumar

Voting for the first phase of the Gujarat elections has started today. Voting is taking place on 89 seats in this phase. At the same time, just before this, cricketer Ravindra Jadeja shared an old video of Shiv Sena founder Balasaheb Thackeray. Bal Thackeray had warned Gujaratis about this. Thackeray had said in this video that 'Narendra Modi went to Gujarat'.

Ravindra Jadeja campaigned for his wife

Rivaba, the wife of Ravindra Jadeja, is the BJP candidate from the North Jamnagar seat in Gujarat. A few hours before the start of polling today, Jadeja released this old video of Balasaheb appealing to his wife and the BJP to win. Along with releasing Thackeray's video, Jadeja asked voters to 'listen to a lion, there is still time, understand Gujaratis'. In the video, Thackeray is saying that 'I just want to say that Narendra Modi went to Gujarat'.

Rivaba's sister-in-law and father-in-law campaigned for Congress

Rivaba is one of the 788 candidates contesting for 89 seats in the 182-seat Gujarat Assembly. In 2017, Dharmendra Singh Jadeja of the BJP won the election. This time he was denied the ticket in favor of Rivaba Jadeja. However, Rivaba's father-in-law and sister-in-law campaigned for the Congress candidate. His sister-in-law Naynaba Jadeja belongs to Congress.

There is no difference in the family - Rivaba

Before the election, Rivaba clarified that there is no difference in the family and it is only a matter of ideology. This is not the first time that two members of a party are associated with two different ideologies. Rivaba said, he is speaking as a worker of another party and not as my father-in-law. This is his matter. I have faith in the people of Jamnagar. Jamnagar has given us many things. My husband was born here, he started his career here. Please tell that Ravindra Jadeja campaigned for Rivaba and met Narendra Modi.

About Jamnagar North Constituency

After delimitation, a constituency was formed in 2012, and voting was held for the first time. Congress's Dharmendra Singh Jadeja won the election from the constituency in 2012 but joined the BJP in the next election. The BJP fielded Dharmendra Singh in favor of Rivaba Jadeja, but Dharmendra Singh was made the party's in-charge of voting on three seats, including Jamnagar North.
