The narco test of Aftab Amin Poonawala, accused in the murder of live-in partner Shraddha Walker in Delhi's Mehrauli, will be done today at 10 am at Ambedkar Hospital in Rohini. Police have left Tihar Jail with Aftab for a narco test.
Earlier on Tuesday, Delhi Police had told that Aftab has confessed to his crime in the polygraph test. He has confessed to killing Shraddha and throwing the body pieces. Aftab had told that due to doubt in the relationship, Shraddha wanted to go away from him, due to which he killed her.
There will be strict security arrangements
On Monday, some armed men attacked the police van carrying Aftab after his polygraph test from Rohini's FSL. Police have arrested two accused. After this incident, the Delhi Police has become more alert regarding Aftab's safety.
A new girlfriend appeared first
Just 12 days after Shraddha's murder, Aftab came in contact with a new girl through a dating app, who later became his girlfriend. On Wednesday, the Delhi Police recorded the statement of the woman, a doctor by profession.
News agency ANI quoted sources as saying that Aftab had invited the new girlfriend twice to his flat in October. During this, some pieces of Shraddha's dead body were present in the house itself. The girl told the Delhi Police that Aftab's behavior was quite normal, due to which she never got suspicious.
