
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Sikkim for a two-day visit. During this visit, he will inaugurate development projects worth over ₹4,000 crore. On Tuesday, as part of this tour, PM Modi also played football with a group of young people. The Prime Minister shared photographs of the event on the social media platform 'X'.
In the pictures, PM Modi was seen wearing a blue sports jacket featuring the Tricolor emblem. Everyone present was holding a football, and all were dressed in matching kits. It was, in essence, a casual and informal session.

Sharing the images, PM Modi wrote, "A lovely morning in Gangtok! Playing football with my young friends in Sikkim was an absolute delight!" In another post, he added, "Needless to say, it was a fantastic football session with these youngsters!"
PM Modi is scheduled to attend the valedictory ceremony marking the completion of 50 years of Sikkim's statehood. He will also visit the Orchidarium located within the Swarnajayanti Maitri Manjari Park in Gangtok, which has been developed as a world-class orchid experience center.
Following these engagements, the Prime Minister will proceed to Paljor Stadium, where he is expected to address a public rally. Earlier, upon his arrival in Sikkim on Monday, the Prime Minister led a roadshow in Gangtok. He was originally scheduled to arrive on May 29, but his visit had to be postponed due to inclement weather conditions.
