Last farewell given to martyr Colonel Ashutosh Sharma with moist eyes, tears spilling on wife and daughter

Colonel Ashutosh Sharma, commanding officer of 21 Army Rifles, who was martyred while taking on the militants in Handwara, Jammu and Kashmir, was given a final farewell with moist eyes in Jaipur with state honors today. Martyr Ashutosh's body was brought to Jaipur in the early hours of today, where he was wrapped in a tricolor and was given a final farewell and salute. Four other soldiers were killed in Operation Operation Against Terrorists along with Colonel Ashutosh in Handwara of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday.

 

According to news agency ANI, Colonel Ashutosh Sharma, who was martyred in the Handwada encounter, was given a final farewell in Jaipur today. His wife, daughter and other relatives were present on the occasion. The Colonel was given a final farewell with moist eyes and state honors.

 

Shaheed Ashutosh was given a final farewell by Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. Also, Bharatiya Janata Party leader Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore also paid tribute. The Colonel's wife wept incessantly during the final farewell. Let us know that the martyr is Ashutosh's resident of Bulandshahr, but his family has lived in Jaipur for a long time.

Colonel Ashutosh, who was the commanding officer of the 21 Rashtriya Rifles Unit, has twice been awarded the gallantry award for courage and valor in his anti-terror operations. Not only this, Shaheed Ashutosh was the first such commanding officer of the rank of Colonel, who lost his life in an encounter with terrorists in the last five years. Earlier, in January 2015, Colonel MN Rai was martyred while taking on the militants in the Kashmir Valley. Also, in November of the same year, Colonel Santosh Mahadik was also martyred in the campaign against the terrorists.

According to army officials, Colonel Ashutosh Sharma was posted in the Valley for a long time in a guard regiment and has twice been awarded the Army Medal for bravery against terrorists. He was known for teaching a lesson to terrorists. According to officials, Shaheed Ashutosh Sharma has been awarded the gallantry medal as a commanding officer for saving the lives of his soldiers from a terrorist hiding a grenade in his clothes. In fact, when a terrorist was moving towards his soldiers with a grenade in his clothes, Sharma showed bravery and saved the lives of his soldiers by shooting the terrorist very close.
