In Varanasi, Meerut, Baghpat, and other districts, even though the District Magistrate has directed to open shops by one o'clock in the day, shops in Gautam Budh Nagar will open till seven o'clock in the evening. The government is instructed that under its discretionary decision, the District Magistrate can allow liquor shops to be opened.
