new Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi reviewed efforts to make a coronavirus vaccine in the country. The Taskforce meeting on Corona Vaccine Development, Drug Discovery, Diagnosis and Testing was held on Tuesday evening. After the meeting, it was told that the development work of 30 corona vaccines in the country is at different stages. Trial of some of these will also begin.

Three works are being done to make corona medicine

First, the possibilities of using the drugs that are present are being explored. Four drugs are being investigated in this category.

Secondly, new medicines and molecules are being prepared.

Thirdly, anti-viral possibilities are being explored in tree extracts and products.

The synergy should be the same as now: Modi

Modi was satisfied that the efforts of academia, industry and government are getting good results. He said that such fast and coordination routine should also be in use. Thinking of what could be possible in a crisis should be part of the regular work of our scientists.

'Need to increase research in start-ups'

The Prime Minister praised the scientists of computer science, chemistry and biotechnology coming together in search of medicines. He said that the lab should have a hackathon on drug making and testing. Its winner can be given a chance in further start-up companies for further research.

'Scientists, industry can work together and create a different identity'

Modi said that the way scientists from basic to applied science are working together with the industry. It's a good thing. This is how we should proceed. By doing this, we can join the best countries of the world instead of being a follower in science.
