Bengaluru, ANI. Amid the ongoing political upheaval in Madhya Pradesh, the Congress delegation is scheduled to meet Governor Lalji Tandon at 1.45 pm. Earlier, during the hearing in the Supreme Court on the petition filed for the demand of floor test, advocate Dushyant Dave on behalf of Congress MLAs said that today we are in a peculiar situation. The people of Madhya Pradesh reposed trust in the Congress. The government was working well for 18 months.

Dushyant Dave also told the court that the BJP has used force. This threatens democratic principles. The petition filed by former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister and BJP leader Shivraj Singh Chauhan. Chief Minister Kamal Nath has said that if needed, he too can go to Bangalore to meet the MLAs.

It is noteworthy that on Tuesday, on the petition of Shivraj Singh Chauhan, the court while hearing the petition issued notice to Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath and Assembly Speaker NP Prajapati. A bench headed by Justice DY Chandrachud and Justice Hemant Gupta issued notice to the Chief Minister, Speaker, Principal Secretary to the Legislative Assembly, Madhya Pradesh and the Governor.

The Supreme Court has earlier given a big blow to the party by rejecting the petition of brother of Congress MLA Manoj Chaudhary. The petition demanded the release of the MLA. The petitioner reportedly claims that his brother and other MLAs have been forcibly held hostage by the BJP and the Karnataka Police.
