Students are marching to the State Secretariat (Nabanna Abhiyan) on Tuesday in protest against the incident of brutality with a junior female doctor in RG Kar Medical College Hospital. Police surveillance at every nook and corner of the city
On Tuesday, 4,500-5,000 policemen have been deployed in and around Navanna. 21 police officers of IG and DIG rank have been given special responsibility for security. On the other hand, Union Minister of State and Bengal BJP President Sukanta Majumdar said that the Mamata government is afraid of the students' movement, so it is trying to suppress it. If any major incident happens during the students' movement, the state government will have to take responsibility for it.

Additional Director General of Bengal Police Manoj Kumar Verma said- 'The area of the State Secretariat is a protected area. No application has been made by any organization to protest there. We have received intelligence that some miscreants may try to create unrest in the name of the campaign. There is also news that disturbances may be created by putting children and women in the front.
