A red alert has been issued in the Kumaon region and an Orange alert in the Garhwal region. In 5 districts of Kumaon, Nainital, Champawat, Almora, Bageshwar, and Pithoragarh, school holidays have been declared on Friday. At the same time, schools in Tehri and Pauri of Garhwal will also remain closed today.
