UNSC: China put obstacles in declaring Makki as a UN terrorist, stopped India and US proposal

China has once again turned down the efforts of India and America while supporting Pakistan on terrorism. On the joint proposal of India and America to designate Pakistani terrorist Abdul Rehman Makki as a global terrorist, China has put obstacles in the Security Council.

 

China proposed to designate Makki as a UN terrorist before 1267 ISIL and the UN Security Council's Al-Qaeda Sanctions Committee. As usual, China put a halt to the proposal at the last minute.

India and the US had proposed to designate Makki as a global terrorist under al-Qaeda sanctions. Makki is the brother-in-law of 26/11 Mumbai attack mastermind and Lashkar-e-Taiba chief Hafiz Saeed.
