Will a person never die after spending one and a half crores: People freezing dead bodies to be alive again in the future; What is cryonics?

Posted on 30th Nov 2022 12:23 pm by rohit kumar

It is about the year 2018. The mother of Subhabrata Majumdar, who lived in Kolkata's 'James Long Sarani Colony', died. After this Majumdar decided to keep the dead body of the mother in the freezer of a cryonics company. Mazumdar is confident that it is possible to bring dead humans back to life in the future through advanced medical technology and cryonics science.

Subhabrata Majumdar is not the only person to do this, the dead bodies of more than 600 people around the world have been kept frozen in this way.

The trend of freezing dead bodies is increasing worldwide

At present, the dead bodies of about 600 people have been kept frozen all over the world. Out of these, more than 300 dead bodies are in only two countries America and Russia. Before these people died completely, their minds and body were kept in the lab.

Even though these people are legally dead, scientists who believe in cryonics technology believe that they have just fainted.

This is the reason why many people in the world, before dying, are expressing their wishes in front of their families that instead of destroying their bodies forever, they should be kept safe through this technique.

For this reason, private companies have set up labs in dozens of countries including America, Australia, Russia, and India, which claim to keep dead bodies safe.

What is cryonics technology that brings the dead back to life?

According to American scientist Dr. Richard Gibson, 'When any technology or science fails to keep a human being alive. Then after death, his dead body is kept in the freezer in the hope that after the development of science and medical science in the future, it will be possible to revive that person.

The meaning is clear that these people think that in the coming times, medical science will be able to make humans alive after death.

He has said that Hollywood movies like 'Demolition Man' or 'Vanilla Sky' also showed the possibilities of reviving dead humans through this technique.

What is the law regarding freezing the body of a dead person?

The right to live life is the same in the constitution of almost all countries, but does this right exist even after death?

The answer to this question was found in a decision of the London High Court on 6 October 2016. Here a 14-year-old girl Jijivisha (name changed) died of cancer on October 17, 2016. Before his death, he filed a petition in the London High Court that he was going to die of cancer. In such a situation, he should get the right to live life once again.

The girl and her family were sure that after 50 or 100 years medical science would be able to cure her disease and doctors would be able to bring her back to life. That's why appealed to the court to keep his body safe with the cryonics technique.

In this case, Justice Peter Jackson allowed the girl's body to be frozen for 100 years.

According to Avinash Kumar Singh, founder of the Indian Future Society, there is no clear law in India to freeze the body. Here it is very difficult to get permission from the court and the government.

Is it possible for a dead body to be alive?

According to Professor Richard Gibson of the Institute of Bioethics and Health Humanities, Texas, USA, scientists of the world are divided into two camps on the matter of making humans alive with this technique. Some people look at it with suspicion and some believe that it is possible in the next 50 to 100 years.

He said, 'If you ask me, I will say that it is possible in the coming times. Even though all this seems imaginary right now, medical science can do this. However, Richard believes that many questions are yet to be answered but research is going on.

Even after several weeks of the research, the dead rabbit's brain was found safe

In February 2016, a rabbit's brain was kept in a very cold environment with cryonics technology, Dennis, president of the Cryonics Institute in Michigan, USA, told in an interview. On examination after several weeks, it was seen that even then the brain was safe.

However, Dennis admits that there is a difference between rewiring a dead rabbit and bringing a dead person back to life. But, at the same time, based on this research result, they feel that in the next 10 years, it will be easy to revive the dead body through cryonics preservation.

In June 2021, a report in the journal Current Biology said that after being frozen in ice for 24,000 years in Siberia, a microbe called Deloid rotifer came alive.

After all, when will it be possible to revive humans? In response to this question, Alcor, one of the largest companies in cryonics technology, says that - this is just an opportunity that may be possible in 100 years or even in 1000 years.

Can humans be sent to space through cryosleep?

In many Hollywood movies like 'Interstellar', 'Life', 'And lost in Space', human beings are sent into space through cryosleep i.e. frozen in ice. However, the question has been arising that how much truth is there in this scene shown in the movies?

A report in Voice.com claims that in January 2016, the top 15 scientists from the European Union started working together to turn this vision into reality. According to the report, European Space Agency and NASA scientists are working together on this technology to send humans to deep space.
