The conference of global leaders will start today i.e. Monday in Davos, a city with snowy plains in Switzerland. In this, thousands of delegates, including about a hundred members from India, will discuss the topic of 'cooperation in a divided world'. This will be the biggest gathering of global delegates after the Corona pandemic. The last annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) had to be held in May last year, deviating from the usual practice.

Several heads of state will participate in five days

The Davos summit is usually held in January. This could not happen due to restrictions related to the Corona epidemic. Before this, the meeting of the year 2021 was also held online. The ongoing war in Ukraine and the economic fallout of the geopolitical situation, as well as the health crisis, have made this meeting interesting. About 50 heads of government and heads of state are expected to attend the meeting over the next five days.

Many ministers and business giants of India will be involved

From the Indian side, it will be attended by four Union ministers - Mansukh Mandaviya, Ashwini Vaishnav, Smriti Irani, and RK Singh, besides Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Several officials and entrepreneurs will also be present in the Indian delegation. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Karnataka's Basavaraj Bommai were also scheduled to attend the conference, but are unlikely to attend now. Rajya Sabha member Raghav Chadha, Telangana minister KT Rama Rao and Tamil Nadu minister Thangam Thenarasu have reached Davos. Business heavyweights Gautam Adani, Sanjiv Bajaj, Kumar Mangalam Birla, N Chandrasekaran, Nadir Godrej, Sajjan Jindal, Sunil Mittal, Roshni Nadar Malhotra, Nandan Nilekani, Adar Poonawalla, Rishad Premji are likely to attend the meeting.
