PTI president demands dissolution of the assembly
Islam Khabar, citing reliable sources, said that the army was in discussions to select a political and financial leader before the announcement of the election. In response, the interim government led by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has launched a campaign of vengeance against PTI leaders such as Shireen Mazari and journalists who supported Imran Khan.
As the prime minister warned, thousands of Imran Khan's supporters are already on the streets and motivated enough to take over the state's institutions, which could lead to civil war.
