There is a tug of war going on between Varun Gandhi and the BJP. Varun Gandhi has been continuously raising his voice in favor of farmers. Whether it is a matter of increasing the support price of sugarcane or taking forward the farmers' movement, they are continuously supporting the farmers by going ahead. Even after the violence in Lakhimpur Kheri, while sharing the video on Twitter, he wrote that these accused of violence should be punished immediately.

It is believed that he was also removed from the National Executive Committee of the BJP for making rhetoric against the BJP party line. It has been discussed that Varun Gandhi and Maneka may leave the BJP.
