Bharat Biotech to increase production of vaccine by 6-7 times in next few months, 100 million doses to be ready by September

During the high speed of corona infection in India, the constant question arises about how such a large population of the country will be able to get a corona vaccine. Meanwhile, the Indian Ministry of Science and Technology said on Wednesday that currently the production of cocaine will increase two-fold by May-June and its production will increase by about 6 to 7 times between July-August.

The ministry further said that it is expected that by September, 10 crore covaxin will be produced every month. He further told that Bharat Biotech is being given financial assistance of about 65 crore rupees by the Central Government to increase the production of vaccines. Apart from this, three public sector companies are also being assisted so that they can increase the capacity of vaccine production.

 

 

It is disappointing to doubt intentions - Bharat Biotech

 

 

Bharat Biotech said on Wednesday that some states' complaints about the company's intentions regarding the supply of Covid vaccines are quite disappointing. Suchitra Ila, joint managing director of Bharat Biotech, tweeted that the company has already sent doses of covaxin vaccines to 18 states on 10 May.

 

 

 

 

 

He wrote, 'Despite low traffic facilities, vaccine doses have been delivered to 18 states. It is disappointing to hear some states complaining about our intentions. Due to Covid, many of our employees are not coming to work, yet we are working for you all the time during the lockdown.

Bharat Biotech is located in Hyderabad to 18 states including Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, Odisha, Assam, Jammu and Kashmir, Tamil Nadu, Bihar, Jharkhand and Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Telangana, Tripura, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and West Bengal. Covaxin is supplying vaccines.

 

 

 

 

 

Earlier, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said on Wednesday that Bharat Biotech has informed the Delhi government that it cannot provide "additional" doses of covaxin to the national capital. He said that cocaine stocks in Delhi have run out and as a result, about 100 vaccination centers set up in 17 schools had to be closed.
