Today is the 47th day of the peasant movement. Other issues related to the farmer movement, including the repeal of the new agricultural law, were heard in the Supreme Court. The court took a tough stance with the government's core of attitude. Chief Justice SA Bobde told the government - If you do not ban the agricultural laws, we will stop it. You could not handle this matter correctly. We will have to take some action.

The court is expected to issue an interim order by this evening, as the Chief Justice said that we will issue orders in different parts on issues related to the performance of farmers and the implementation of agricultural laws.

'Don't give us a lecture Mr. Attorney General'

When Attorney General KK Venugopal asked the court for more time, the Chief Justice said - Mr. Attorney General has given you a long time. Do not lecture us on patience.

Courtroom

Chief Justice: If the government does not ban agricultural laws, we will ban them. We are disappointed with the way the government is handling this matter.

Chief Justice: We do not know what the government is talking to the farmers. We do not know if you are part of the solution or the problem? Can agricultural laws not be stopped for some time?

Chief Justice: Some people have been suicidal. The elderly and women are involved in the movement. What is going on? Not a single application came up saying good agricultural laws.

Chief Justice: We will all be responsible if something goes wrong. We do not want any kind of bloodshed to be blamed on us.

Chief Justice: The central government should take full responsibility. You are bringing the law, so you understand better.

Attorney General: Old Supreme Court rulings have said that courts cannot ban laws. The court cannot ban any law unless it is clear that the law is implemented by ignoring the rules and it violates the rights of the people.

Attorney General: What happened to the Chief Minister of Haryana should not have happened. Farmers are planning to take out tractor marches on Rajpath to ruin the day of national importance of 26 January.

Chief Justice: You did not handle the issue of agricultural laws correctly. We have to take action. We do not want to say anything. Demonstrations may continue, but who will take responsibility?

Chief Justice: We are proposing to form a committee. They are also considering ordering not to implement the law till further orders. So that, a dialogue can be held in front of the committee. Former Chief Justice of India is suggesting RM Lodha to be the head of the committee.

Chief Justice: I want to take the risk that the farmers should return to their homes.

Farmers' Advocate: Dushyant Dave said - Farmers should be allowed to visit Ramlila Maidan. They do not want any kind of violence.

Farmers' Advocates: How did such important laws pass by voice in Parliament. If the government is serious, it should call a joint session of Parliament.

Petitioner's lawyer: Harish Salve said that some people in the movement should be excluded. Salve referred to the organizations that are raising money for the banner written for Justice for Sikhs.

What did the Supreme Court say in the previous hearing?

December 16: If the issues of farmers are not resolved, then it will become a national issue.

January 6: No improvement in the situation, understand the condition of the farmers.

January 7: During the hearing in the Tablighi Jamaat case, the court expressed concern. Said - Due to the farmers' agitation, there should not be a situation like Markaz.
