The three-match ODI series between India and Australia is starting on Friday, 22 September. Both the teams will face each other at the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali. India has a great chance to become the top-ranked team in ODIs. By winning the first ODI, Team India will defeat the Pakistan team captained by Babar Azam and reach the top position of the ODI rankings.

 

India is without many of their key stars including captain Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, and Virat Kohli for this match. In the absence of Rohit, KL Rahul will lead the Indian team. This series is also a chance for Shreyas Iyer to return to form before the World Cup. Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj, who were in excellent form in the Asia Cup, will lead India's bowling.

 

 

On the other hand, Australia would like to bounce back after losing the ODI series to South Africa. After winning the first two matches, the Australian team lost three consecutive matches by a margin of more than 100 runs. The Australian team will not get the services of Glenn Maxwell and Mitchell Starc for the opening match of the series. Pat Cummins, who missed the series against South Africa due to a wrist fracture, is ready to make a comeback.

There is no chance of rain in Mohali on Friday. The conditions will be favorable for the game and a clear sky and bright sunny day will welcome the teams in Mohali. The temperature will be around 30 degrees Celsius. Winds will blow at a speed of 13 km/hour, making it a comfortable weather for the players. However, humidity will remain in the high 80s. Therefore, players need to stay hydrated to stay fit throughout the match. It will be cloudy in the morning, but the sky will be completely clear by the time the match starts.
