Interestingly, the Chinese media did not try to show any special analysis or viewpoint on this news. Japanese newspaper Nikkei Asia also wrote in plain words, that maintaining policy certainty for the world's most populous country will be one of the biggest challenges facing Modi. Sri Lanka's Daily Mirror wrote, that Narendra Modi is the second leader after Jawaharlal Nehru in the political history of India, who is taking oath as Prime Minister for the third time.

Pakistani website Dawn wrote, that Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister of India for the third time, and took oath with coalition ministers.
