The Southwest monsoon is giving relief to live in the country. Due to the effect of Western Disturbance in Delhi NCR, there was a drizzle due to the knock of the monsoon in many states of the country including the Northeast. Heavy rains at some places in the Northeast also brought disaster to life. The days of heat are over in the country.
According to the Indian Meteorological Department, there has been a change in the weather in North India due to the effect of Western Disturbance. Rain is expected in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh till June 18. Today there is a rain alert in Jammu, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand as well.

According to private weather agency Skymet, in the last 24 hours i.e. on Thursday, there was light rain in Delhi, Haryana and East Rajasthan, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Rayalaseema, East Gujarat, Andaman, and the Nicobar Islands.
Light to moderate rain occurred over Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Coastal Karnataka, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, South Gujarat, and South-West Uttar Pradesh.
At the same time, moderate to heavy rains occurred over Northeast India and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal. Odisha, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, parts of Telangana, Lakshadweep, Konkan, and Goa experienced light to moderate rain at one or two places with heavy rain at a few places.
