Delhi violence will be discussed in Rajya Sabha today. The BJP has issued a whip asking its MPs to be present in the House. Foreign Minister S Jaishankar said on Thursday that the spread of coronavirus is a matter of concern and we are responsibly responding to it. He also assured that the government is committed to the safety and welfare of its citizens living in any part of the world.

Making a statement on the basis of automatic cognizance of the issue of coronaviruses in the Lok Sabha, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar said that medical teams have been sent to help the Indians trapped in Italy and those who are found to be negative in the investigation will be allowed to travel. Nodal office is being established there.

He said that 6000 Indians were stranded in Iran including 1100 pilgrims from Maharashtra and 300 students from Jammu and Kashmir. The External Affairs Minister said that the initial thrust is to bring back the pilgrims, most of whom are trapped in Iran's com. He said that out of a sample of 529 Indians trapped in Iran, 229 were found to be negative in the investigation.

Jaishankar said that spreading of corona virus is a matter of concern and we are responding responsibly and the government is committed to the safety and welfare of its citizens living in any part of the world. He said that in view of the present situation of outbreak of Corona virus, it is necessary to strictly follow the mandatory certificate of infection-free for anyone to return home.

Jaishankar said that the global corona virus is being monitored by the Group of Ministers and the Prime Minister is also reviewing it from time to time. He said that more strict measures are being taken to stop the spread of Korana virus. He said, "Whatever (measures) are necessary, they are doing it."

Parliament will not be postponed due to Coronavirus. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said that there is no proposal to postpone Parliament indefinitely because of Coronavirus.
