The Indian PM has given these special gifts to the US President to make him aware of the country's culture. Inside this box is an idol of Lord Ganesha, a Hindu deity who is believed to be the destroyer of obstacles. He is worshiped first among all the deities. The idol has been handcrafted by a family of fifth-generation silver craftsmen from Kolkata.

Not only this, but it also houses a diya (oil lamp), which holds a sacred place in every Hindu household. This silver diya is also handcrafted by the family artisans of fifth-generation silver craftsmen in Kolkata.

The box gifted by PM Modi to US President Joe Biden also contains a 99.5 percent pure and hallmarked silver coin. It has been beautifully crafted by the artisans of Rajasthan. It is offered as Raupyadan (donation of silver). Lavan or salt from Gujarat is offered for lavender (donation of salt).
