Sawan 2023: Sawan month is starting on the 4th of July. This year the month of Sawan will be special in many ways. Firstly, after 19 years, the month of Sawan will be of 59 days instead of 30 days.
Second, this time the month of Sawan is starting in Indra Yoga. The one who will fulfill the wishes of the devotees and will be the one who will accomplish the work.
Rakshabandhan will be after 45 days
Acharya Rakesh Kumar Shukla told that this year the month of Sawan will be special. One month of Sawan will be of two months, the second will start in Indra Yoga and the third this time there will be a gap of one and a half months between Shivratri and Raksha Bandhan.
In normal days, the full moon date i.e. Rakshabandhan falls only 15 days after Shivratri, but this time there is such a rare coincidence that Rakshabandhan will happen after 45 days. He told that there is a difference between the lunar year and the solar year.
In Indian astrology, the year is calculated in many ways. In which the solar year and the lunar year also come. He told that this year the devotees will get eight Mondays to worship Lord Shiva. This is also a wonderful coincidence in itself.
Told that the Jalabhishek of Lord Shiva will start on July 15 at around 8:30 pm. Because Trayodashi Tithi will end around 8:30. At the same time Chaturdashi Tithi and Bhadra will start, but due to Gemini being in Bhadra Nag Lok, Bhadra will not be an obstacle in Jalabhishek. There the month of Sawan will remain till 31st August.

Worshiping Lord Shiva in the month of Sawan gives special results. Because this month Lord Shiva resides near the Ganges i.e. Haridwar pilgrimage.
According to Acharya Rakesh Kumar Shukla, by anointing Lord Shiva with the water of the Gangas and the water of Kanwad, one gets more merit. The water stream is most dear to Lord Shiva.
Whoever anoints Lord Shiva with the water of Kanwar in the month of Savan, gets Dharma, Artha, Kama, and Moksha.
