
Four explosions occurred one after the other late Wednesday evening in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan. Three explosions hit a mosque and a passenger van in the northern city of Mazar-i-Sharif. Five people died in the blast in the mosque. A Kabul police spokesman said two people were injured in an explosion at a mosque in Kabul.
But Kabul's emergency hospital said in a tweet that it had found five bodies and more than a dozen injured patients from the blast. At the same time, a Taliban official said on condition of anonymity that at least 11 people were killed in the blasts placed in the pulpit of the mosque.
Shia community targeted
At least nine people have been killed and 15 injured in three explosions in a passenger van in northern Balkh province. Balkh province's police spokesman Mohammad Asif Wajeri told Reuters the attack was targeted at the Shia community, a minority in Afghanistan.

Earlier on April 21, there was a blast in the mosque of Mazar-e-Sharif. Five people were killed in this, while 65 people were injured. The responsibility for this attack was claimed by ISIS, which is an Islamic terrorist organization.
On the same day, there was an explosion in the Sardarwar area of Qudunj province of Mazar-e-Sharif, in which 4 people were killed and 18 people were injured.
