Bharat Jodo Yatra: A man traveling barefoot has become a point of attraction in the Bharat Jodo Yatra led by Rahul Gandhi. Vikram Pratap Singh, an advocate by profession, joined the Bharat Jodo Yatra from Madhya Pradesh and is walking barefoot. This thing makes Vikram different from other people. Vikram Singh, a resident of the Umaria district of Madhya Pradesh, has walked more than 1200 kilometers in the last 2.5 months.
'Want to spread the message'
Talking about his resolution, Vikram Pratap Singh told ANI, "I have given up shoes after starting Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra from October 28 last year. I want to spread the message of this Yatra in the country." Wanted to join this journey from the very beginning. I have taken a vow to spread his message."
Have traveled more than 1200 kms
Vikram Pratap Singh further said, "I joined this yatra from Burhanpur in Madhya Pradesh and have reached Panipat in Haryana barefoot. I have walked more than 1200 kilometers in two and a half months." Singh continues to walk barefoot despite foot problems and credits Congress MP Rahul Gandhi for his inspiration. "When I see Rahul Gandhi traveling it motivates me and motivates me to walk more despite the pain," Singh said.
'The pain is less'
Vikram Pratap Singh, a native of Madhya Pradesh, wants to complete the journey to Srinagar barefoot. When asked about the discomfort of walking barefoot in the cold, Singh admits that his pain is mild compared to those facing the brunt of inflation and unemployment. Singh said, "I want to give the message that the yatra is not political but to tell that people should be nationalists first instead of becoming casteists and religious fanatics. It is this nationalist spirit that we are trying to spread."
