Gitanjali Aiyar: Doordarshan's famous anchor Gitanjali Aiyar passed away, a wave of mourning in the journalism world

Geetanjali Iyer, a well-known television anchor of the nineties, is no more with us. There is a wave of mourning in the journalism world after the news of his death. Geetanjali was the anchor of English news. He started working in Doordarshan in 1971. He established many records in the field of TV journalism. He had won the Best Anchor Person Award four times in his three-decade journalism career.

 

She was also awarded the Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini Award in 1989 for her outstanding works, achievements, and contributions. He had a bachelor's degree in English. After this, he did his Master's at Loreto College, Kolkata. He obtained a diploma from the National School of Drama (NSD).

 

After thirty years of anchoring in Doordarshan, she also worked in the field of corporate communications, government relations, and marketing. She was also an advisor to the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). Apart from this, he also worked in the serial Khandaan.
