In such a situation, lawyer Chongatham Victor Singh and businessman Myengbam James recently filed a petition in the Supreme Court demanding the restoration of internet service. The petitioners say that their livelihood is being affected due to the internet shutdown in the entire state for almost a month. It has also been said in the petition that shutting down the internet is also against freedom of expression and freedom to do business.
