Premier League: Mohamed Salah's two goals gave Liverpool victory after five matches, beating Leeds 6–1

Liverpool were destined to win after five matches in the English Premier League. They defeated Leeds by a huge margin of 6-1. Egypt's star striker Mohamed Salah scored two goals in Liverpool's victory. Diogo Jota also scored two goals. Cody Gakpo and Darwin Nunez scored one goal each for the Netherlands. It was Liverpool's first win since thrashing Manchester United 7–0 six weeks earlier. He remains at the eighth position in the EPL points table.

 

Liverpool scored four goals after the interval

Cody Gakpo, who scored three goals for the Netherlands in the World Cup, gave Liverpool an early lead in the first half. After this Salah scored the second goal. Liverpool were 2-0 up in the first half, but the real blow to Leeds came in the second half. However, just two minutes after the break, Ibrahim Konate scored for Leeds to make it 1–2, but five minutes later, Liverpool took a two-goal lead again thanks to a Jota goal. After this Salah scored his 15th goal of the league. Jota and Nunez then scored for Liverpool.

 

Klopp told his best match

After the win, Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp termed the match as his best match of the season. On the other hand, the team of Leeds has become the team that scored the most goals in this season. There have been 60 goals against him so far. Eight days earlier they had been beaten 5–1 by Crystal Palace.
