Along with taking extra vigil, the social media cells of the respective districts have been instructed to increase coordination with the social media center located at the DGP headquarters. The police are keeping an eye on all the viral messages. After the campaign is over, the activities of the candidates and their supporters are also being monitored. ADG Law and Order Prashant Kumar say that 800 Company Central Police will be deployed at all important places.
PAC and police personnel have also been instructed to do duty with full readiness. Detailed instructions have also been given to the police officers of the districts to maintain peace and order. Because of the incidents especially during the last elections, instructions have been given to maintaining constant communication with the local people besides taking extra vigil at sensitive places. Instructions have also been given to take every small and big incident seriously and take prompt action. In areas with a mixed population, there will be a tight guard of the police. Intelligence units have also been activated at such places.
